I have noticed a huge problem these days when people add a number to a negative number or when they subtract a number from a negative number.

The common mistakes I see are for example:

-8-3=-5 instead of -11.

-7+3= -10 or 4 instead of -4

One of the easiest ways of fixing this is to move right on the number line when adding and move left when subtracting.
